That One Guy’s Short Swords Texture Pack Overlay (1.8.9+)

A short swords texture pack is really a personal preference. In the video above, I try them out for the first time. Personally, I really like them and will be using short swords in my future texture packs, and for general use.

Video Description:

“It’s not about the size of your sword, it’s about how you use it” – Some gamer girl, probably.

Today I implement shortened swords into my resource pack and come to realise that they made me play better. With the power of crummy logic, I made the swords even shorter, in hopes that they would give me more of an edge (or less actually, since I’m making a sword smaller).

About this short swords texture pack

I hope this simple overlay will let you decide if you prefer short or long swords. I had been using long swords FOR YEARS before I switched to using my own short swords texture pack after a viewer commented the idea to me on a video. Give it a shot, it’s free!

There’s nothing too special about this pack. It’s 100% compatible with your other resource packs. To make it work, place it above your other packs in order for the swords to override. There are no other textures inside so you can happily use this alongside anything else you may have.

Feel free to yoink the textures yourself for your own purposes. If someone wants to download this overlay for themselves, please link them to THIS PAGE.

Happy comboing!

2k pack release

That One Guy’s 2k Texture Pack Release | Optional short swords, custom sky, UHC overlay, etc

Today I (finally) release my Minecraft texture pack. This pack was designed for PvP with bedwars and PvP in mind. I’ve been using this pack as my main pack since I started playing bedwars and have been updating and tweaking it slightly for months. There’s a whole bunch of features that I am yet to mention, as there are a many.

For whatever reason, viewers have been asking for this pack for ages. I’m not really sure why you want it… but here it is I guess. I am by no means good at making packs, and I never really intended for this to be in any environment other than my own computer. Excuse any bugs, errors, or mishappens. Feel free to suggest different features as I’m always trying to improve it.

This is yet another short sword texture pack, but I have released a small addon if you wish to use long swords.

Features

  • Faithful x32 base
  • Optional short swords
  • Low fire
  • Custom sky
  • UHC Overlay
  • Ore borders
  • Old-time sounds (e.g. the old hitsound)
  • A wacky creeper sound
  • Slight vibrancy boost on all textures
  • Some sort of custom wool texture
  • Bragging rights that you have my pack.

Tutorial

The video above will show you how to install the texture pack. It’s really easy. If you’ve used a computer before and have the ability to drag and drop files, you should be able to install this pack. If you are unable to do this, I suggest that you mail me your computer, as I’ll put it to better use. If you are against the idea of mailing me your computer, try asking a family member for help.

Minecraft Colourblind Resource Pack for 1.8.9

Video Showcasing the resource pack

This week I spend my free time editing minecraft’s textures to make my life hard. My custom resource pack makes almost all the textures greyscaled, which makes bedwars (a game where there are 8 teams of varying colours) very difficult. I play two round on my own (live commentary included), and 2 more with my buddy Akrore.

So you’ve seen the colourblind bedwars challenge and wish to try it for yourself? Well, you’ve stumbled into the right place.

“That One Guy’s Minecraft colourblind resource pack” is really good fun if you’re looking for a not so difficult yet more challenging experience for Minecraft. Every block still has it’s original Minecraft texture, so it is possible to distinguish each block. All of these textures are put on a brighter or darker hue depending on the type of coloured block. That One Guy’s video highlights this texture pack while having fun doing so. While being not so difficult, the texture pack puts a little twist and a more challenging aspect to Minecraft

(this was a joke)

(just download the pack)

Akrore – 2020

What’s been changed?

There’s honestly not much to say about it.

The following textures have been changed:

  • 99% of textures have been changed to be greyscale.

2k pack update

That One Guy’s 3k Bedwars pack UPDATE RELEASE (32x)

That One Guy’s 3k Bedwars pack UPDATE (32x)… In this nicely edited video, I release the final version of my 200 subscriber resource pack. This includes a brightening of everything, a new sky, and a change here and there.

That One Guy’s Updated Custom Sky Overlay (Night & Day Versions)

In this solo bedwars commentary, I release my custom sky overlay that I use alongside my usual pack. I have released the day version of the overlay in the past, but now that I’ve made a night version too, I thought that it would be worth re-releasing. This 1.8.9 sky overlay texture pack has a nice modern/flat vibe to it while contributing well to the Minecraft “vibe”. It is a little bit similar to the SammyGreen sky overlay in the sense that it has a cartoony aesthetic.

If you want to make my game look fully like mine, you may want to download my pack as well.

Bedwars Halloween PvP Texture Pack & Download

Video Description

In today’s solo bedwars commentary, I try out the new bedwars map that were introduced in the Halloween update. Additionally, I use a nice Halloween PvP texture pack that was made by a fan of the channel. The swords are extra short on this pack so do as you wish with it.

The bedwars Halloween update is pretty cool, and the best part about it was buying the halloween victory dance effect.

Regarding the texture pack, I’m pretty sure that this is an fps boost texture pack, as my frames were very stable, even whilst recording 120fps footage at an insanely high bitrate. It has loads of cool features like short swords, simple blocks, very snazzy enchantment glint, and more! This video really doesn’t do it justice but gives you a good glimpse at what it’s like. Download it for yourself (it’s free!) to see how great it is.

What this Halloween PvP texture pack has to offer

A Halloween themed pack to make PvP the smoothest possible.

Contains:

Smooth blocks

Animated ores

Short swords

Gradient diamond armour

And much more!

Deer, the texture pack creator.

I honestly didn’t expect the simple and smooth textures to look so good. From the start I was reminded of the old OCD texture pack my FVDisco back in the old days of minecraft, before bedwars existed. If you like simple textures or just want to try something out, I’d definitely suggest this pack.

Once Halloween is over, I’d still recommend it as it looks great, and the sky overlay matches any situation.
